Quilts of Indiana: Crossroads of Memories

Quilts of Indiana documents an important tradition of the homemakers art hidden from history. Established in 1986, the Indiana Quilt Registry Project, a dedicated group of volunteers, began canvassing the state to document as many Indiana quilts as they could locate. The 6,400 quilts ultimately recorded and photographed represent 200 years of quilt making, from 1800 to 1990. Together with their stories or history, eighty four of the most artistically interesting quilts are reproduced in full colour in this book.
